R2-M8

R2-M8 - An astromech droid formerly belonging to Imzig smuggler Dozor N'uuroc onboard his freighter, Pride of Conolo, R2-M8, or "Mate", would perform repairs and plan hyperspace routes for Dozor. A incredibly unlucky gambler, Dozor sold R2-M8 to Jabba the Hutt's tax collector Gailid to alleviate some of his podracing debts. R2-M8 was brought to the palace and given a memory wipe by Jabba's droid supervisor EV-9D9 who re-programmed it as a beverage server, and stationed R2-M8 on Jabba's sail barge, Khetanna. The droid was present at the Battle of the Great Pit of Carkoon and was destroyed when Leia Organa fired the barge's deck cannon threw the main deck, tearing apart the Khetanna.

Purpose of this blog.

I was always fascinated by how deep the mythos of the Star Wars series was. A character who simply walked across the screen would end up having a deep and sometimes complex history behind them. This blog is based off of the old What's the Story? series that the official Star Wars website had put out periodically, fleshing out minor or barely seen characters of the Star Wars series. This is, in no way, official. It is mostly a creative exercise involving my favorite universe.

Hope you enjoy.
